The access from Montclair Drive, Beverly Hills is currently the source of contention with the residents there. They seek to close Montclair to through traffic to and from Long Mountain Country Club.
They
pursued the matter in the courts and lost the case. Subsequently the the
KSAC, through their attorney, informed the developers (Selective
Homes Development Ltd.) that the road will be closed as of the end of
February. They cited breaches of the Local Improvement Act during
the construction of the development.
Presently LMCC Ltd., the community of Karachi and Selective Homes are working to resolve the matter to keep the access road open. LMCC has secured the services of residents who are lawyers to assist in this matter. Other lawyers in the community are encouraged to assist. While we do know that your time is valuable we ask, that as a service to the community, you assist us in protecting and maximising the value of our investments in a manner similar to that demonstrated by our Directors.
This closure will have a negative effect on the quality of life at LMCC and also on our neighbors at Karachi and Montclair Drive. If the road is closed and we experience a natural disaster such as hurricane or earthquake then residents of LMCC and upper Montclair will be marooned in their own homes, unable to receive help from the Police or Fire Brigade, or access hospitals and Ambulances services, the and saddest of all, each other.
We hope to resolve this matter to the mutual benefit of all parties.
