ADDRESS CHANGE FOR LONG MOUNTAIN RESIDENTS
JAMAICA POST FEATURE
With the recent addition of 540 private letter boxes (PLBs) to the Long Mountain housing scheme in St. Andrew, residents of this community will have new addresses assigned effective immediately. Currently, this community's mail is directed to the Liguanea Post Office, Kingston 6, located at the Liguanea Post Mall. Since there is no street delivery system in place, residents have had to be collecting their mail via the "general delivery” window. It will soon be possible for Long Mountain residents to start using their new community-based PLB's as soon as routing schedules have been finalised. This means that residents will be able to go for a leisurely walk from their home to the community centre (called the Country Club) to open their private letter box and retrieve their mail, whether morning, noon or night: all within the safe confines of the community. The address will be changed to reflect the new service, by adding the words 'Long Mountain' as indicated in the sample addresses below:
For PLB holders: Mr. & Mrs. Resident, P. O Box 1234, Long Mountain, Kingston 6.
For general delivery:
Mr. & Mrs. Resident, 12 Dozen Street Long Mountain Kingston 6.
