A Guard moves to screen a visitor

Almost totally surrounded by the tropical forest of Long Mountain, Long Mountain Country Club is an isolated community. As a result security is a primary concern for owners/residents and our closest neighbors.

Security for LMCC begins in the chair you are sitting in or the spot you are standing on. You have a responsibility to report illegal or suspicious activities to the appropriate authority and if necessary take the appropriate actions to protect life and property.

The maintenance fees are the only source of income for LMCC. You also have a responsibility to ensure the maintenance fees are paid for your house. These fees are used inter alia to pay King Alarm Ltd. for the following services.

  • Armed mobile teams that patrol the LMCC exclusively 24hrs/day to prosecute illegal/suspicious activities with special attention to possible trouble spots and to ensure our safety.
  • Panic Alarm services that will summon the King Alarm patrol team to your door within minutes of you activating the system.

Security tips

The first rule to remember about securing yourself and your home is that criminals are opportunists. If you make it hard for them, they will look for another target.

  • Get to know your neighbors and their workers. They are your eyes, ears and shield. If something happens when you are away they will report it. If you need help, they will render it.
  • Give your phone numbers to your neighbours and use them if something suspicious happens. A phone call at 3 am is more welcome than a gunman.
  • Always make sure to lock up properly and to check that you locked up properly
  • Install and use exterior lights - motion sensing lights in dark areas will not only alert you and deter a trespasser but will save you electricity too
  • Make sure to lock up your car securely
  • Know your children's whereabouts and plans and talk to them about anything they may have seen or heard
  • If you live near the perimeter fence, walk along it from time to time to see if there are any used paths leading up to it or ladders leaning on it. These are points where persons enter LMCC illegally for reasons unknown. If you find one report it immediately!
  • If you have a firearm we only ask that you be sure of your target and what is beyond it if you miss.
